Document Flow Automation

Intelexity integrated automated document processing into the client's infrastructure using a third-party document-recognition and biometric-authentication platform. The solution combines document upload, optical character recognition (OCR) and biometric checks, including facial recognition, within the customer-identification process.

The project covered the platform integration, staff training and changes to the client's working processes. After a pilot and adjustments, the system went into production. The delivered workflow reduced manual data entry and document-verification effort without developing the recognition technology from scratch.

Task

  • Manual processing: Replace slow, labor-intensive data entry and document verification with an automated workflow.
  • Data quality: Reduce input errors and the delays caused by correcting them.
  • Routine workload: Reduce the time and resources spent on document processing.
  • Customer service: Make the identification process faster and more convenient for customers.

What was done

  • Partner-platform integration: Connected a third-party platform for document recognition and biometric verification. The integration brought OCR and biometric functions into the client's workflow rather than building recognition technology from scratch.
  • Training and process changes: Trained the client's employees and adapted internal processes to automated data processing.
  • Pilot and production: Tested the system through a pilot, made the necessary adjustments, integrated it into the client's infrastructure and put it into production.

How it works

  • Document processing: Documents enter through the automated upload process. OCR extracts their data, reducing manual entry and the associated input errors.
  • Identification: The connected platform supplies biometric checks, including facial recognition, as an additional verification step in customer identification.
  • Employee workload: Automation reduced routine data-entry work and the effort spent correcting errors, lowering the associated processing costs. Staff use the adapted processes introduced during implementation.
  • Customer convenience: Faster document processing and identification shortened the procedure for customers and made it more convenient.
